Sweetwater Sound, a Fort Wayne–based online retailer of musical instruments and audio gear, expanded its catalog onto marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Reverb but found it wasn’t measuring or optimizing channel performance effectively. With a large catalog and shifting advertising costs, the company needed a way to scale marketplace operations, protect margins, and make fast, data-driven changes without overburdening its development team.
Sweetwater partnered with ChannelAdvisor (Self Service for Marketplaces and Flex Feeds) to centralize feeds, apply automated business rules, and build a custom Reverb integration. Using ChannelAdvisor’s automation and reporting to manage Amazon Ads and ACoS, Sweetwater cut ACoS from 16% to 3.13% (an 81% reduction) in one month, increased sales on Reverb, and gained ongoing visibility and agility to maintain profitability.
