A Rithum Case Study
Speedmaster, an Australian high-performance automotive retailer founded in 1979 with operations in Australia and the US, wanted to grow its eBay business and replicate its successful Australian B2C model in the US. The company needed to standardise and scale cross-border e-commerce operations—something its existing platform could not support—so it sought a solution to manage multiple marketplaces and markets simultaneously while improving customer experience.
Speedmaster deployed ChannelAdvisor Marketplaces (Australia late 2012, US in January 2014) and Webstores Amplifier to centralise listings, automate order and customer communications, and use a single data feed for both marketplaces. The result: reduced administrative effort and more consistent workflows, allowing staff to focus on growth; within the first month on US eBay Speedmaster became a top seller in several categories and saw a 50% improvement in eBay customer reviews.
