Scarpetta Shoes Steps Out on International Marketplaces and Grows Sales 1000%

Scarpetta Shoes, a Columbus-based e-commerce retailer of women’s designer footwear founded in 2009, was limited by selling only through its own website and a few marketplaces. Attempts to expand to eBay and Amazon exposed inventory-management problems and overselling, and a low-cost integrator couldn’t automate processes or connect to enough marketplaces to support growth.

After switching to ChannelAdvisor, Scarpetta rapidly listed products on 22 marketplaces, synchronized inventory across channels, and applied business rules to automate operations. The marketplace expansion drove a more than 1000% increase in international sales from January to December 2017.
