Restaurant Equipment Online Experienced Nearly 90% Increase in Sales on Marketplaces

Restaurant Equipment Online is a Melbourne-based e-retailer founded in 2013 that sells thousands of commercial kitchen and foodservice products across Australia and New Zealand. Rapid growth exposed challenges with listing, automation and scaling: the team struggled to get ~10,000 SKUs live across multiple marketplaces and faced slow support and manual spreadsheet work from prior providers.

In May 2019 the company adopted ChannelAdvisor’s Self‑Service Marketplaces, using business rules, lookup lists and labels to automate listings and operations. Within 11 months marketplace sales rose 89.6%, the business streamlined 10,000 SKUs and now sells on eBay, Catch, MyDeal, Amazon, Kogan and Trade Me; marketplace revenue now represents about 20% of total sales and roughly half of online sales, with faster product onboarding and ongoing optimization.
