Red’s Gear, a 20-year-old retailer of branded outdoor and sporting goods, expanded from closeout sales on eBay into a multichannel e-commerce business selling across more than 10 marketplaces, including Newegg. Rapid channel growth created complexity in managing inventory, pricing and orders, and the company needed a solution to centralize operations and better capitalize on marketplace demand.
Red’s Gear implemented ChannelAdvisor Marketplaces and worked directly with Newegg to automate listings, pricing and daily tasks and to manage orders from a single dashboard. As a result, Newegg became one of its top-producing channels, driving nearly 1,800% sales growth on that marketplace in 2012 and enabling the company to operate more efficiently and scale its online business.
