Majestic Auto Parts, an Ottawa-based seller of aftermarket automotive parts, wanted to expand beyond its website to reach more customers on marketplaces like eBay and Amazon but faced limited staff, technical know-how and the need for a scalable supply-chain solution to handle higher order volumes.
The company partnered with ChannelAdvisor (Launch Plus for eBay and Launch Assistance for Amazon) and FedEx Fulfillment for shipping and inventory integration, launching on eBay in six weeks. Listings and fulfillment were streamlined—500 SKUs live on eBay (with plans for 2,700) and 300 on Amazon with fitment search—and eBay sales climbed from about $30K/month to $57K in September 2017, a 1.5x increase.
