Party City, a leading party-supply retailer with roughly 40,000 SKUs online and a strong omnichannel footprint, wanted to expand beyond PartyCity.com into marketplaces like Amazon, eBay and Walmart. The company lacked marketplace presence and the specialized expertise and operational setup required to meet each channel’s unique requirements and capture incremental customers.
Party City partnered with ChannelAdvisor’s Managed Services to develop marketplace strategy, build an Amazon Brand Store, run seasonal promotions and track key KPIs. With ongoing expert support, Party City’s marketplace GMV more than tripled year‑over‑year during its August–Halloween peak in the first year, and the retailer now uses those marketplace insights to guide broader growth.
