Century Novelty, a family-owned novelty and party-supplies retailer founded in 1951, shifted to online-only sales to compete with larger players like Party City and Oriental Trading. To lift its search-engine marketing and pay-per-click performance, Century Novelty partnered with CommerceHub for performance marketing and channel expansion.

CommerceHub steered Century Novelty to Bing Shopping Campaigns (phasing out Product Ads), producing dramatic gains: Revenue increased: 1237 percent; Spend increased: 1015 percent; Return on advertising spend (ROAS increased): 20 percent; Orders increased: 1257 percent; Cost per order (CPO) increased: 18 percent. Additional metrics showed Impressions increased: 1038 percent; Clicks increased: 1254 percent; Click-through rate (CTR) increased: 19 percent; Average cost per click (CPC) decreased: 18 percent. Comparing Q3 2014 versus Q3 2015, revenue increased 177 percent, order volume increased 248 percent, impressions increased 402 percent and click traffic increased 247 percent.
