LME Implements Riskonnect GRC to Strengthen the Connection Between Risk and Compliance

London Metal Exchange, the world center for industrial metals trading, faced fragmented risk and compliance processes driven by spreadsheets, documents and email that produced inconsistent taxonomies and unreliable data capture. To strengthen the connection between risk and compliance, LME selected Riskonnect and implemented Riskonnect’s GRC suite (Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Metrics).

Riskonnect cleansed and consolidated LME’s data into a single GRC platform and delivered a fully functional system in 10 months, giving stakeholders a single source of truth, consistent taxonomy, role‑based access, visual analytics and automation. The deployment saved significant time—especially in preparing regulator-required RCSAs—improved KPI data quality by enabling first‑line input, increased stakeholder engagement up to the executive level, and positioned LME to respond faster to risks and scale the system as needs evolve.
