The American Egg Board (AEB), which promotes The Incredible Edible Egg™ and is funded by a national checkoff on egg production, wanted a website that matched its brand and delivered a better, more consistent experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile. To improve usability and meet engagement goals, AEB partnered with Rise Interactive to develop a data-driven site strategy.
Rise analyzed the site and found recipe pages drove nearly half of traffic but required up to five clicks to reach from the homepage. Rise redesigned the site to surface most recipes within two clicks, created condensed recipe collection pages, added filtering and SEO improvements, and thoroughly tested across devices. Within a month AEB saw 66K more visits, 2K more recipe downloads and a 39% increase in recipe shares, with significant year-over-year gains.
