Case Study: MongoDB improves early talent hiring efficiency and diversity with RippleMatch

A RippleMatch Case Study

Preview of the MongoDB Case Study

MongoDB relies on RippleMatch to sort through applicants effectively and hire diverse talent with a virtual-first approach

MongoDB, the developer data platform company, needed a more scalable way to attract and evaluate early career talent as its recruiting scope grew beyond internships to all early career roles. With limited time, bandwidth, and budget, the team wanted to expand brand awareness, hire diverse candidates, and improve the way it handled more than 34,000 internship applicants each year. To do this, MongoDB turned to RippleMatch and its virtual events and applicant sorting capabilities.

Using RippleMatch’s Events and Sort products, MongoDB was able to drive qualified RSVPs to virtual events from across the country and centralize review across applicant sources like its career site, Handshake, and LinkedIn. The result was a 50% reduction in time spent on applicant review, a 92% candidate response rate versus 4% with manual sourcing, 48 candidates hired, 83% underrepresented hires, and reach across 1,312 schools.
