A Ripple Case Study
TransferGo, a U.K.-based international money transfer service with 1.3M global customers operating in 47 countries and 22 currencies, needed faster, lower-cost remittances and simpler bank integrations. To achieve that, TransferGo joined RippleNet (Ripple) to connect with local banking partners and cut processing times that previously took a day.
Using RippleNet from Ripple, TransferGo established a single standard connection into a global network of more than 300 financial institutions, reducing integration time and costs, speeding transfers to a typical 7 minutes, and enabling near-instant remittances in India. The move has driven growth—about 3,000 transactions per month in India (roughly £2 million a year)—and allowed TransferGo to offer up to 90% cheaper fees while opening new corridors across Southeast Asia, Latin America and Africa.
