Sleep Solutions of New York is a small sleep-disorder clinic led by Dr. Richard Hamburg that relies on recorded voicemails and call logs to document insurer approvals, patient interactions, and potential disputes. When the practice moved to RingCentral to reduce maintenance, it faced a challenge: RingCentral’s default retention was 60 days but the clinic needed up to seven years of searchable, organized recordings for insurance claims and possible litigation.
Using the RingCentral Platform APIs, Sleep Solutions commissioned a custom app that automatically pulls and archives call recordings and logs, lets staff tag records by patient, insurer or issue, and provides simple search and retrieval. The integration (built by Cooperative Computing) made it much faster to find evidence for prior authorizations or complaints, saved clerical time, and gave the team peace of mind knowing records are preserved and easy to access.
