Seattle-based Community Health Center Uses RingCentral to Continue Providing Care During COVID-19

Neighborcare Health is a Seattle-based nonprofit community health center serving more than 75,000 low-income, immigrant, senior, and homeless patients through nearly 30 medical, dental, and school-based clinics. In early 2020 the organization faced an aging on-prem phone system that dropped calls and hit capacity limits just as COVID-19 forced school clinics to close and staff to shift to remote work, creating an urgent need for reliable, HIPAA-compliant remote communications.

Neighborcare Health deployed RingCentral’s cloud communications platform, quickly equipping staff with an app for business-line calls, SMS, and video conferencing so behavioral and medical teams could schedule and run secure telehealth sessions. The move preserved patient confidentiality, restored reliable phone service, enabled fully mobile care across shelters and community sites, and kept crucial services flowing to hundreds of patients during the pandemic.
