Salary.com, a Waltham, MA–based provider of compensation data and analytics founded in 1999, rebooted as a private company and needed a cost-effective, scalable phone system that wouldn’t demand heavy IT oversight. Their legacy on‑premises solution required manual provisioning, proprietary wiring and hardware, frequent upgrades, and significant ongoing IT time and capital expense.
They replaced it with RingCentral MVP, enabling fast, incident‑free rollouts (including an acquired Kansas City office), easy user provisioning, and mobile app access for remote workers. The Salesforce integration, real‑time analytics and self‑service reporting streamlined sales workflows and management, while cloud hosting eliminated much of the old capital and administration costs.
