A RingCentral Case Study
Stumptown Coffee Roasters, a Portland-based specialty coffee retailer and wholesaler founded in 1999 with about 300 employees, needed to modernize its phone systems as part of a company-wide cloud migration. Its on-premises PBX caused frequent dial-tone outages, required expensive MPLS lines for some sites, and had a complex interface that led to administrator errors and heavy user training.
Stumptown deployed RingCentral MVP and RingCentral Contact Center with Matrix Networks assisting on network readiness and NetSuite integration, and planning for Salesforce integration. The cloud solution provided SLA-backed reliability, eliminated costly private lines, cut admin time for changes by about half, reduced routing errors, and improved contact-center efficiency—enabling automated outbound queuing for wholesalers and supporting continued growth.
