CFM Insurance, Missouri’s oldest farm mutual (founded 1869) serving more than 30,000 policyholders with about 50 employees, faced a technology challenge as growth and multiple mergers left it with fragmented, aging on‑prem phone systems. The company needed a single, work‑from‑anywhere communications platform to unify teams, support remote work, and preserve high-quality service for policyholders—needs that became urgent when COVID‑19 lockdowns began.
CFM moved to RingCentral’s cloud communications and then to RingCentral Video, consolidating phone, video conferencing, and messaging in one app. Employees could take and transfer calls from any device, port numbers from acquired firms, and use video for IT support and team meetings, enabling a smooth transition to 100% remote work while maintaining customer service, operational continuity, and staff morale.
