EnerSys Australia and New Zealand, a branch of a global stored energy solutions manufacturer, faced challenges with disparate on-premise phone systems following an acquisition. This led to a lack of national call visibility, administrative complexity, and an inability to ensure a positive customer service experience through its national numbers. Seeking a cloud-based solution ahead of the PSTN shutdown, EnerSys partnered with RingCentral to consolidate onto a single telephony platform.
RingCentral implemented its RingEX cloud telephony service, which provided a centralized platform with enterprise PABX functionality, including call queues and IVR. The solution integrated natively with Microsoft Teams and prepared for future contact center and CRM integration. For EnerSys, RingCentral delivered centralized visibility and control, simplified administration with a single invoice, and established the foundation for a national customer care function with advanced reporting. The deployment is considered a showcase for the wider APAC region.
