DES Architects + Engineers Adopts RingCentral for New San Francisco Office

DES Architects + Engineers, a leading Silicon Valley architecture and engineering firm, opened a new 3,800 sq ft San Francisco office to better serve Bay Area clients and attract tech startups. IT Director Rob Sampson wanted a cloud-first communications solution that supported employee mobility and integrated with Google G Suite so staff could keep their existing contacts and workflows without an on‑premises phone switch.

DES chose RingCentral — a cloud communications platform with a mobile app and built-in Google integration — enabling click-to-call from Gmail/Chrome, browser dialing, and full smartphone use. The solution boosted productivity through seamless Google workflows, eliminated the need for local switching hardware, and already gives the San Francisco office richer communications functionality than the main Redwood City headquarters, which DES plans to migrate next.
