The Defence Logistics Agency’s Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) needed ongoing support and customization for BMC Service Desk Express (SDE) as it expanded the platform beyond traditional IT service desk and CRM use. The agency was looking for a way to consolidate multiple service management processes, including help desk support, security access tracking, travel support, SLA monitoring, and task management.
RightStar Systems provided on-site SDE support, including database administration, screen creation, software maintenance, and requirements development, while also building several custom applications on the SDE platform. These solutions improved process efficiency, enabled better tracking and notification workflows, and helped DSCR consolidate service desk functions and IT infrastructure, resulting in significant cost savings and greater effectiveness for the Defence Logistics Agency.
