Saudi Arabia Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (NGHA) Adopts RightPatient® Biometric Patient Identification Solution

National Guard Health Affairs (NGHA), the Saudi Arabia Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, needed a better way to accurately identify patients across a large healthcare network. With more than 30,000 patients served daily at 500+ locations, NGHA faced patient misidentification, ID fraud, and duplicate medical records that put patient safety at risk. They turned to RightPatient and its biometric patient identification solution to address these challenges.

RightPatient implemented its biometric patient identification system using the M2-FuseID smart fingerprint reader, integrated with NGHA’s EHR system and deployed across 544 enrollment and verification points. The solution enabled fingerprint and finger vein identification for more than 30,000 patients each day, helping reduce duplicate medical records to almost 0%, eliminate patient misidentification, and improve identification speed, accuracy, and medication safety.
