Westar navigates the shipping waters using Scope in both US and German branches

Westar Germany, the German arm of global logistics provider Westar, faced challenges migrating from its former TMS and needed one‑time entry with seamless transatlantic data exchange between its US and German branches. To streamline air and ocean freight, customs handling and cross‑border collaboration, Westar Germany selected Riege Software’s Scope platform, using the air & ocean freight and customs modules.

Riege Software delivered demos, implemented Scope and developed requested sea‑freight enhancements (including local harbor authority connections and accompanying‑document handling), plus integrations with third parties like TCI, and went live for both branches in January 2016. The result: a reliable, user‑friendly system that lessened daily workload and improved communication and processing efficiency—now used by 34 users across two branches—demonstrating clear operational improvement under Riege Software’s solution.
