Case Study: DB Schenker achieves unified, ATLAS-compliant customs processing across Germany with Riege Software's Scope

A Riege Software Case Study

Preview of the DB Schenker Case Study

DB Schenker Selects Riege Software

DB Schenker needed a single, high-performance customs solution to replace a patchwork of systems (including Procars) across its German operations and to meet the February 1, 2013 ATLAS 8.4 compliance deadline. After practical testing of several providers, DB Schenker selected Riege Software’s Scope as the unified customs platform for air and sea freight formalities in Germany.

Riege Software implemented the Scope customs module, adding tailored interfaces and modifications, certifying the system for German customs, and supporting a nationwide rollout to Schenker’s air/sea branches. Riege trained in-house trainers and around 1,250 end users, automated key processes (NCTS, MAWBs, summary declarations, customs warehousing) and replaced incompatible legacy software, enabling compliance with ATLAS 8.4 and positioning DB Schenker to expand the Scope rollout to other European countries.
