alpha trans, a Munich-based air and ocean freight forwarder focused on textiles and part of the Barth + Co. Group, faced a complex, costly IT landscape after many years using Riege Software’s Procars. To simplify and modernize its processes, alpha trans selected Riege Software’s new transport management system, Scope, as a pilot customer following a 2007 tender.

Riege Software implemented Scope as a cloud-hosted TMS, consolidating export/import processing and customs clearance (AES, EZA, NCTS, SumA) for 65 users across multiple offices. The solution improved speed, transparency and usability, saved alpha trans €25,000 per year in hardware costs, and helped secure AEO‑F certification thanks to Scope’s data-security measures and web-app security checks.
