A RideCo Case Study

Preview of the LA Metro Case Study

LA Metro - Customer Case Study

LA Metro, the Los Angeles Metro transit agency, needed to launch a 100-vehicle microtransit service across 6 zones in LA County to fill transit gaps, improve access in underserved communities, and connect riders to existing buses and trains. To do this, LA Metro selected RideCo and its real-time booking and scheduling software to support a multimodal, agency-operated on-demand service.

RideCo implemented a 100-vehicle mixed fleet microtransit solution across 122 square miles, with ADA-compliant vehicles, bike racks, and integration with Metro’s fares and TAP card system. The service was designed to improve walking distances, rail connections, and equitable access to transit for a rider population of more than 727,000, while helping LA Metro meet cost-effectiveness and operational goals.
