Regional transportation improves commuting for Lone Tree community

The City of Lone Tree, CO, a fast-growing Denver suburb of about 14,000 residents, needed to boost ridership and improve cost-efficiency for its Link On-Demand service. In late 2018 the City selected Via to replace its prior on-demand technology provider and deliver a shared-ride platform that links residents to regional transit and key local destinations.

Via deployed its routing and matching algorithm along with proprietary dispatch tools and comprehensive data reporting to optimize operations. The result: a 41% increase in rides per day over the legacy service, more than 12,000 rides (nearly 1,000 per week), and a greater than 30% reduction in cost per passenger, helping the City of Lone Tree deliver more efficient, visible, and accessible on-demand transit.
