Green Bay Metro achieves 98% paratransit on-time performance with Via

Green Bay Metro (GBM) partnered with Via to upgrade its transit network. The challenge was to improve the performance and efficiency of its ADA paratransit service while also finding a better way to serve the general public on an underperforming fixed bus route.

Via implemented a commingled solution, using shared technology, vehicles, and drivers for both ADA paratransit and a new on-demand microtransit service. This resulted in a 98% paratransit on-time performance, 100% of paratransit demand being met, and 15% year-over-year ridership growth for the microtransit service. Via's solution also delivered 20% cost savings compared to the previous fixed-route service.
