Go Connect - Customer Case Study

Go Connect is Miami‑Dade County’s on‑demand public transit program created to address clogged roadways and declining transit ridership for the county’s 2.7 million residents. To provide an affordable, accessible first‑and‑last‑mile solution, Miami‑Dade partnered with Via to deploy a shared on‑demand service that links neighborhoods to Metrorail stations.

In October 2020 Via launched GO Connect with a 14‑vehicle fleet (including five wheelchair‑accessible vehicles), a multilingual mobile app (English, Spanish, Creole) and phone‑booking to maximize reach and accessibility; the service began in Dadeland and Cutler Bay and is expanding to Civic Center and Palmetto Bay. By complementing existing transit infrastructure, Via’s GO Connect established Miami‑Dade’s first on‑demand public transit network and expanded first‑and‑last‑mile access across multiple zones.
