The City of Chandler, Arizona, launched Chandler Flex to expand access across its limited fixed-route network, improve first- and last-mile connections, and provide more transportation options for students and residents. To support its “Community of Innovation” goals, Chandler partnered with Via to create a more flexible, accessible transit option for the community.

Via’s microtransit solution powers Chandler Flex with a seven-vehicle fleet that dynamically routes trips booked through an app or support line, offering point-to-point service and fixed-route connections where available. The service has already delivered 100,000 rides since launching in July 2022, with more than 3,000 wheelchair-accessible rides and 42% of monthly trips going to and from schools, while helping the city secure $3 million in additional transportation grants.
