The Fitted Foot, a Seymour, IN retail and podiatry hybrid founded in 2006, sells footwear through a storefront, a medical practice, and a mobile “factory truck” that visits worksites. To support these three channels the store needed a single retail platform to ring sales, generate purchase orders, run reports, keep data accurate and synchronized, and allow remote inventory updates when staff work off-site.

They implemented RICS (in use since opening and upgraded in 2010) to manage inventory, POS transactions, and analysis reports. By optimizing RICS the team reduced purchasing time from 2–3 days to half a day or one day, enabled real-time inventory syncing from phones on the factory truck, sustained average annual growth of about 10% (20% in 2013), and gained reporting tools that streamline ordering, hiring benchmarks, and plans to expand to a second location using multi-store features.
