Ricoh Takes A Clinical Approach To Print Optimisation

Klinikum Offenbach, a large hospital near Frankfurt with 2,300 employees and more than 70,000 patients treated each year, faced an inefficient and costly document infrastructure. It had over 800 print and imaging devices from multiple vendors, each with different systems, service terms, and supplies, making daily operations harder for staff. Ricoh International was brought in to help streamline the hospital’s print and document environment.

Ricoh International applied its Managed Document Services approach, replacing the fragmented fleet with 500 multifunctional products, a single operating system, and the @Remote monitoring service. The hospital also gained uniform Pay Per Page pricing, centralized service support, and automated supply management. As a result, Klinikum Offenbach improved efficiency, reduced admin burden, and cut document costs by 35% to 40%.
