A Ricoh International Case Study
Henkel, a global consumer goods and industrial company, faced rising printing and output-management costs as its worldwide growth led to a fragmented mix of more than 13,000 devices from many vendors, multiple contracts, and little transparency. To address this, Henkel partnered with Ricoh International on the PRIMUS “Printing @ its best” initiative to standardize and optimize its global print infrastructure and service processes.
Ricoh International implemented a worldwide rollout of standardized Ricoh multifunction devices, centralized service through Henkel’s existing IT helpdesk, automated toner supply, and unified SLAs across locations. The project replaced over 13,000 systems with about 4,000 modern Ricoh devices, achieved a 37% reduction in direct printing costs, improved user satisfaction, reduced IT tickets and administrative effort, and is projected to save about EUR 825,000 in energy costs while cutting CO2 emissions by more than 41,000 tonnes over five years.
