Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) needed to launch a national cancer benefits solution but faced the challenge of not knowing which hospitals across the country were in-network for its patients' insurance plans. This lack of data risked sending patients to out-of-network facilities, leading to potential extra costs and care delays. To solve this, MSK partnered with Ribbon Health to access its provider data platform.

By integrating Ribbon Health's insurances accepted data via API, MSK launched the successful MSK Direct program. This solution allows their care navigators to confidently refer patients to high-quality, in-network treatment centers, democratizing access to expert cancer care. The program now serves 202 employers and unions, covering 6.4 million lives, with over 10,000 patients directly using the tool.
