Pure IP, a communications service provider, needed to offer a single-vendor telephony solution for international organizations using Microsoft Teams. Their challenge was to provide Direct Routing for Teams and supply local phone numbers (DIDs) in numerous countries, a service not fully available through Microsoft Calling Plans, while ensuring the solution was fully supported and scalable.

Ribbon Communications provided the solution with its Microsoft-certified SBC 5400, which acts as the conduit for Pure IP's service. This allowed Pure IP to offer SIP trunking in 33 countries and provide a fully supported, multi-tenant Direct Routing service. The Ribbon SBC's large capacity of 75,000 concurrent sessions provided economies of scale, and its reliability, backed by a long partnership since 2004, enabled Pure IP to confidently serve a growing number of customers.
