Columbus Telephone Co., a local provider of telephone and broadband services, was facing a challenge as their existing CopperCom softswitch was reaching end-of-life and would lose technical support. They partnered with Ribbon Communications to find a solution to replace and update their outdated network components.
Ribbon Communications implemented its C15 Call Session Controller, which provided a state-of-the-art platform to modernize the network. With the combined efforts of both companies' teams, the new switch was successfully cut over, transforming the network overnight. The result was a seamless transition where all vital services, including 911 Caller ID, were confirmed to be working correctly.
