To support its IPX (IP Exchange) platform and new SIP/IP interconnect models, BT turned to Ribbon Communications for an end-to-end solution that could reduce complexity, costs, and operational risk while enabling interoperability across diverse network types.

Ribbon Communications delivered a comprehensive, standards-compliant, highly scalable IPX solution, including pre-installation support, project management, and integration with BT’s existing core network components. The Ribbon-powered SMART SESSION IPX platform enabled BT to offer new multimedia exchange services such as Voice, HD Voice, Video federation, RCS-e interconnects, and OTT federation over a common infrastructure, improving reachability across a global provider community and accelerating time to market for new IP services backed by QoS and SLAs.
