Bell Canada, Canada’s largest communications company, needed a way to support and manage its hosted PBX/UCaaS services as it moved to an all-IP cloud model. To improve visibility to the customer endpoint, proactively manage quality and availability, and make deployments easier for business customers, Bell turned to Ribbon Communications and its EdgeMarc and EdgeView solutions.
Ribbon Communications implemented a cloud-to-edge management approach using EdgeMarc devices at customer premises, centrally controlled through EdgeView Service Control Center and integrated with Bell’s BroadSoft call server and order systems. This allowed hardware to be shipped directly to customers, plugged in, and operational within minutes, while giving Bell the ability to proactively monitor and manage the full service experience. The result was a differentiated, reliable offering that strengthened Bell’s customer experience and market position.
