Bell Aliant, one of North America’s largest regional telecommunications providers, wanted to bring next-generation Unified Communications to its existing and new Centrex customers without increasing pressure on its support team. To meet that need, Bell Aliant turned to Ribbon Communications and its SMART OFFICE cloud-based UC solution.
Ribbon Communications implemented SMART OFFICE to deliver voice, video, IM, and collaboration services from the cloud across IP phones, PCs, smartphones, and web browsers via WebRTC. The solution let Bell Aliant preserve familiar Centrex features while adding modern UC capabilities, helping the company better serve cloud-focused customers and giving end users the flexibility to access and move calls between devices anywhere.
