RMIT University required the refurbishment of a 1960s building into a new Advanced Manufacturing Precinct, but needed to deliver this complex, multi-disciplinary training facility within strict funding constraints. RIB Software, through its RIB CostX product, was used to help meet this challenge by providing detailed cost planning and ensuring building efficiency goals were met.

The solution involved using RIB CostX for electronic measurement, cost planning, and the production of schedules of quantities. This enabled informed financial decisions, allowed for the recycling of materials, and supported the tendering process. As a result, RIB Software helped the project achieve a five-star environmental rating, stay within budget, and win a Building Efficiency Award.
