The CommonWealth Bank faced a challenge in efficiently procuring and managing the annual refurbishment of 70 to 100 branches. The large-scale program required a cost-effective method to handle project data without administrative double-handling across various phases from budget to final account. To address this, the customer engaged RIB Software and utilized their RIB CostX and CostXL products.

RIB Software implemented a solution where a cost model was developed in CostX to establish concept budgets. This model was then integrated via CostXL into an Excel-based 'Project Pack' that automated data handling for contract pricing, variations, and reporting. This system live-linked data, eliminating manual handling and enabling efficient cost benchmarking. The solution provided by RIB Software streamlined the entire procurement cycle, saving time and enhancing data accuracy for the large annual program valued between $60m and $90m.
