The customer, GLP, sought a solution to remotely monitor utility consumption across its warehouses to facilitate accurate tenant billing and provide tenants with tools for greater efficiency. They also needed automatic readings from hard-to-reach meters as part of their wider goal to improve energy efficiency. To meet this challenge, they partnered with the vendor, Rhino.

Rhino implemented its smart utility monitoring system, integrating with and upgrading the existing infrastructure across multiple warehouse halls. The solution sent data from electricity, water, and gas meters to a single application. This provided GLP and its tenants with real-time consumption tracking and the data needed to optimize energy purchases and identify faults. The results included raising the standard of leased spaces, providing innovative tenant tools, and promoting lower consumption and a reduced carbon footprint.
