Quanex Building Products, a leading manufacturer of window and door systems, migrated from a legacy system to SAP but found SAP Console lacked the flexibility and had high development costs for new mobile applications. To address this, Quanex selected RFgen Software’s RFgen Mobile Foundations for SAP to provide pre-built, adaptable mobile data-collection solutions that integrate with their SAP environment.

RFgen Software implemented RFgen Mobile Foundations across Quanex’s manufacturing sites, customizing transactions (order confirm, sales order picking, bin-to-bin/pallet transfers, cycle counting, material transfers, inquiries and more) to fit Quanex’s workflows and existing scan guns. The deployment delivered greater flexibility, faster development cycles, ownership of future changes, and support for all SAP versions; it sped up inventory cycle counts and reduced labor while running smoothly at multiple plants.
