OEM automotive provider gains self-sufficiency and easy ERP upgrade compatibility with RFgen

Precision Replacement Parts (PRP), an OEM automotive replacement parts provider, needed precise control over a large inventory and a mobile inventory solution that was ERP-version independent to support an Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne upgrade from 8.10 to 9.2, allow in-house ownership, and run on both Android and Windows CE devices. PRP engaged RFgen Software to provide a mobile barcoding and inventory management solution to meet these requirements.

RFgen Software deployed RFgen Mobile Foundations for Oracle’s JD Edwards and its low-code Mobile Development Studio, delivering mobile apps, hardware and barcode workflows that update the Oracle ERP in real time without changing ERP code. As a result PRP upgraded to JDE 9.2 with no technical changes to RFgen code, gained self-ownership of the solution, increased in-house development productivity by 70%, integrated Android and Windows CE devices, and achieved near‑perfect inventory accuracy.
