Toyota Canada was building a new 300,000-square-foot Vehicle Processing Center and needed a real-time yard management system (YMS) that would integrate with reusable RFID tags and its existing processing software to support advanced vehicle processing workflows. To meet that challenge it engaged RFgen Software to provide a mobile data-collection and RFID-enabled YMS solution.

RFgen Software’s implementation pre-loads inbound vehicles, equips workers with rugged mobile devices, assigns reusable RFID tags, and uses RFID readers to guide vehicles through inspection, parts allocation, installation work orders, and yard placement.
