CryoLife, a global biomedical manufacturer serving more than 550 hospitals and surgical centers, needed to replace a paper-based consignment inventory process that produced stale, inaccurate data and required sales reps to operate in areas with poor connectivity. CryoLife engaged RFgen Software and its RFgen Mobile Foundations for SAP to provide a mobile, SAP‑integrated solution for in‑hospital consignment inventory management.

RFgen Software deployed RFgen Mobile Foundations on Apple iPhones with offline data preload, barcode scanning, on‑site reconciliation and later SAP sync. The solution replaced paper cycle counts, enabled dynamic expiration warnings and RMA prompts, and delivered traceability for serialized and lot‑controlled products; it supports about 70 field reps and cycle counting in English, French and German, materially improving accuracy, replacement management of expiring products, and inventory visibility across CryoLife’s 550+ hospital locations.
