Construction Materials Manufacturer Company, a U.S.-based diversified manufacturer and supplier of premium building products, needed to modernize its aging, plant-specific warehouse system as it expanded to multiple locations. The company moved to SAP Warehouse Management and chose RFgen Software’s RFgen Mobile Foundations for SAP to provide automated mobile data collection and real-time integration with SAP.

RFgen Software implemented RFgen Mobile Foundations for SAP in a phased rollout (warehouse first, then production), equipping forklifts with tablets and long-range barcode scanners and enabling mobile transactions for receiving, putaway, cycle counting, transfers, picking/loading and inventory inquiries. The implementation increased data accuracy and accountability, drove misshipments at the first plant to zero over nine months, reduced new-hire onboarding from about six months to one week, and gave IT remote update and support capabilities—delivering measurable improvements in efficiency and visibility.
