Brabant Alucast, a European automotive parts manufacturer, faced inaccurate inventory records from a partially automated legacy ERP (moving to Microsoft Dynamics AX) where fork truck drivers logged dislocated stock on paper and logistics staff retyped records, causing clerical errors, costly stock discrepancies, and risky delivery delays. To address this, Brabant Alucast engaged RFgen Software and selected RFgen Mobile Foundations for Microsoft Dynamics to add mobile barcode scanning and automate inventory workflows.

RFgen Software implemented barcode scanning, mobile apps, and hardware that integrated with the ERP to eliminate manual entry and streamline stock processes. Six months after deployment, stock reliability rose from 70% to 96% (and continues to improve), while employee satisfaction, regulatory compliance, operational flexibility and overhead/staffing costs all improved; Brabant plans further RFgen integrations aiming for 100% stock accuracy.
