Amano Solves Component Traceability and Reduces Inventory Cost Implementing RFgen

Amano Cincinnati, Inc., a century-old manufacturer of time clocks and parking systems, was struggling with an antiquated, paper-based inventory and order-management process while converting to Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne v9.0. Facing enterprise-wide ERP changes across multiple sites, Amano Cincinnati evaluated solutions and selected RFgen Software’s mobile data collection tools and Integration Suite to replace manual procedures and modernize serial-number tracking.

RFgen Software implemented its RFgen mobile data collection solution integrated with JD Edwards, enabling workers to scan serial numbers for work orders, receipts, adjustments and shipments in real time. The RFgen deployment eliminated update lag, improved traceability (helping resolve warranty claims to the individual recipient), and “greatly reduced manual data entry time and, most importantly, the errors,” while giving Amano Cincinnati ownership to maintain and extend the solution and aligning U.S. operations with the corporate platform in Japan.
