Houweling's Tomatoes, a leading North American producer of hydroponic non‑GMO tomatoes operating more than 200 acres across California, Utah and British Columbia, needed to bring distribution in‑house, eliminate paper-based processes and gain real‑time visibility to support direct sales. After a failed lower‑cost automated data solution caused crashes and added labor, Houweling's Tomatoes selected RF-SMART’s automated data‑collection solution (RF-SMART for AX 2012) to meet those objectives.

RF-SMART was implemented in about two weeks and has run 24/7 without downtime, delivering real‑time inventory control, elimination of double‑handling, faster and more accurate order fulfillment and new catch‑weight functionality. The RF-SMART deployment enabled a seamless upgrade to AX 2012 with low overhead, supported expansion to a third site, reduced service calls and labor, and now helps Houweling's Tomatoes ship directly to hundreds of locations.
