Eason & Son Ltd., a Dublin-based books and stationery wholesaler and retailer serving the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland from one central warehouse and more than 60 sites, needed to replace an ad-hoc mix of inventory, warehousing and retail tools with a unified system. After moving to Microsoft Dynamics AX (AX 2012), Eason & Son implemented RF-SMART to provide the mobile inventory and retail management functionality their shop-floor and warehouse teams required.

RF-SMART delivered handheld scanning tightly integrated with AX so staff can receive, pick, count and price-check without paper receipts or manual PC data entry. The solution gave Eason & Son real-time visibility into product location and movement, enabled more frequent cycle counts, sped up order fulfilment across stores, smoothed the AX 2012 R2→R3 migration, and produced measurable time and cost savings that increased productivity and improved customer service.
